Growing up on her father’s dairy farm in Sturgis Michigan left many fond memories and inspired a wealth of stories for Rita Taylor. Meet our mascot Pearl, named after Rita’s dad, Merlin. He was given the nick name “Merl the Pearl” on the softball field. (see picture of Rita and her dad below.) In addition you can find food and beverages named after special cow breeds and you will also see specific names of some of Merlin’s dairy cows. The Parlor, built on the same land that the dairy farm was located and where Rita was raised, was a long time dream of hers and her husband Gabe. They have crafted the Parlor with a welcoming environment and a fresh, farm house feel. Holding memories of yesterday and ready to make new memories today, the Parlor offers delicious and comforting treats along with a special gathering place to grow family, friendships and community.
